Take a sea canoe tour of Phuket’s Hong island
After spending 40 minutes exploring beautiful Panak island, you will be asked to return to the main boat where we will then take a short 20 minute journey to Hong island, considered to be amongst the most beautiful islands in the Krabi province.
Upon arrival at Hong island you’ll get back into your individual canoes and spend around 40 minutes exploring this fascinating island, where you’ll take in the stunning natural rock formations, including solitary limestone peaks both in the sea and on land. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the caves, which contain stalagmites and stalactites, as well as observing the local wildlife, including the swiftlet bird, famed for its edible nest which is used in bird’s nest soup.
Explore the lagoons by canoe
Phang Nga bay is largely made up of Ao Phang Nga National Park, which features limestone cliffs with caves, archaeological sites, and collapsed cave systems dotted throughout the sea over a 400 km² area. The National Park is made up of 122 limestone islands which are littered along the vast and beautiful coastline, offering tourists plenty of opportunity for exploration and discovery.
Our sea boat tour of Phuket offers parties of varying sizes the opportunity to explore this stunning group of islands in a fun and unique way. You’ll sail aboard our boat to some of the region’s most picturesque islands before exploring them in more detail via individual sea canoes upon arrival. Our knowledgeable guides will ensure that your tour is informative as well as fun, taking care to point out areas of outstanding natural beauty, and ensuring you feel safe at all times for the duration of the tour.
Take in the stunning landscape
The cluster of islands that make up Hong island were formed from limestone over millions of years as the softer surrounding rocks were eroded away, leaving huge pillars of stone sticking up out of the sea. These karst rocks are covered with a thin layer of soil which allows thick vegetation to grow on top, adding to their picturesque appeal. The white sandy beaches of the islands are lined with trees, and the sea water is the perfect temperature for swimming and snorkelling if you want to explore the marine life of the area during the tour.
